As against the idea as you were at first, you were even more against it now as you sat surrounded by three arguing siblings, Dick on your right, and his father sitting across you, smiling at your discomfort. Or maybe you were just thinking too hard about making a good impression, insomuch so that you misinterpret the intentions of others.
“Hand that back to me this instance Todd!”
Dick’s younger brother Damian was currently trying to snatch his food from Jason’s prying fingers, while Jason was grinning like an absolute fool. Tim, stares at the two, chewing on his food slowly while you couldn’t even touch your food. How could you eat at a time like now? And have everyone stare at you while you do so? You would look like a complete fool, what if they judged you just by the way you ate?
The Wayne family is a rich family after all, what if rich traditions followed them?
“_____, it’s fine.” Dick mumbles into your ear, grabbing hold of your hand underneath the table and silently tracing his thumb over your knuckles. A habit of his, you realized, that he often used when to comfort you.
“So how did you meet Dick Miss ______?” Mr. Wayne begins, elegantly placing his napkin on the table with such precision. Is it weird to be so entranced in such little things such as that?
“U-Uh we…” You stutter, “we met in high school.”
Mr. Wayne glances at Dick who smiles as if there’s nothing wrong in the world.
“Really? I don’t remember him mentioning you.”
“W-Well, we really didn’t get along in highschool, it was only at our highschool reunion that we hit it off.”
You wanted Mr. Wayne to PLEASE stop asking you questions, after all, you were probably going to mess up one of the answers and completely embarrass yourself! Where was your boyfriend when you needed him? Oh right, next to you, not doing a thing!
“Oh really?” His voice is filled with humor, once again sharing a glance with Dick, and then looking off to his other children who were all debating over completely off-topic things. They were in their own little world, almost as if they’ve done this before. At that moment, you wondered how many girlfriends Dick has really had.
“She’s great Bruce. Not like the others.” Dick says, “And I really like her. A lot.”
All of the siblings stop debating and stare at you like it’s the end of the world. A really shocking reaction, in all honesty.
“Tell me ______,” Jason begins, “Any dark embarrassing secrets?”
“W-What?” You stumble, what kind of person would ask that to a person they just met?
“Have you had any past ex-boyfriends?” Damian scowls, “that you would possibly like to cheat on? That you are currently cheating on now?”
What the heck? What was up with Dick’s siblings? Now you really didn’t want to be here, you wanted to be home, huddled in the corner, eating ice-cream and studying for your final exams in college.
“Okay guys, she’s staying, whether you like it or not.” Dick says, his voice a little louder than earlier before. “That means no plans to get rid of her.”
“How do you know you won’t like her? What if you hate one of her habits or if you dislike the way she eats?” Tim motions to your untouched food. You blush.
“Tim…” Dick trails off. He can’t actually be considering his words could he?
“Or what if she snores in her sleep? Cooks horrible food? Leaves her laundry everywhere for YOU to pick up?” Jason questions, his eyes staring into your own in a very menacing sort of way. You look away when it gets too uncomfortable, and now you just felt absolutely humiliated.
“I really don’t think you guys should b-” Dick starts, but stops when you stand up and wipe away the tears starting to form near the corner of your eyes. This was just too much, were you really a disgusting person? Actually, what if he really didn’t like the way you did something? Would he stop dating you just because you weren’t perfect? Just because he didn’t like one small thing about you?
“I think I’ll go now. It was nice talking to you Mr. Wayne.” You give him a curt nod before turning completely and heading straight out the door. The elder man looked like he had wanted to say something, but you were too far away now to listen to his words.
“______!” Dick cries, glaring at his brothers on the way to catch you.

"You know I wouldn't leave you for such small things right?" Dick mumbles, opening the car door so you could hop out.
"Thanks for taking me home Dick, I'm just not so sure your family really likes me."
"Of course they like yo-" He stops realizing that there was no fooling you. "Well... I think Bruce likes you at least. My brothers hate every girl I date. I even stopped dating for a time."
You stare at the pavement below your silver heels, and sigh. If anything, this was the worst day you've ever had, and you hoped you wouldn't have a day any worse than this.
"We could catch a movie or something. You really don't have to go home." Dick mumbles, he's getting closer now, and he lifts your chin up to inspect your tear stained cheeks.
"I'm not really in the mood Dick..." You grumble, averting your eyes to the side. Dick smiles.
"Alright, I got it, I guess I'll just go then."
He let's go of your chin and begins to open the car door to the driver's seat until you quickly grab the end of his coat, pleading silently that he would stay with you. Just for a while. Maybe the two of you could even cuddle on the couch or something, anything.
"You're really cute, you know that?" Dick laughs. He wraps his arm around yours before slamming the car door shut, leading you to your small little apartment you called home.

Witty Banter (Nightwing x Reader)
Living in Gotham City has its faults, but it’s not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean sure, there’s a few crazies running around every once and a while, but aside from that, and the lack of sunlight, it’s a generally decent place to live. College isn’t that different of a story, living on campus has its perks, mostly due to the fact that there’s around the clock security.
Unfortunately for you, tonight was different. The alarm really should’ve tipped you off that the guard system was down, but that adventurous spirit that you have within you would never let you leave without deciphering what was go

Damian Wayne X Reader
(A/N) Just a little Damian Wayne blurb that I had in mind. It's not heavily edited, and the plot isn't really consistent... But enjoy.
The night was unnaturally silent as you trudged down the dark streets of Gotham. No police sirens, no gunshots, no fearful screams, not even rambunctious drunks stumbling about. Save for the soft downpour of rain, it was utterly silent. Not even a stray mutts bark could be heard in the distance.
'Someone must be doing their job right.' You thought, pulling your jacket tighter around your frame as you moved under the light posts on the street.
'It's a good thing, too. I hate the night shift at the kennel.' No
